CYLAND Artists Participate in the Exhibition at the Cultural Center Gromov in St. Petersburg

March 2, 2018, Cultural Center Gromov opens an exhibition in St. Petersburg. Entitled “To Love | To Create”, the exhibition is dedicated to the artists couples jointly working and presenting their work. Featured at the exhibition are CYLAND MediaArtLab artists Elena Gubanova and Ivan Govorkov who have been working in collaboration since 1990.

The couple is engaged in philosophy, psychology, painting, drawing, sculpture and installations. Their works were exhibited at major Russian and foreign venues, including Hermitage Museum (St. Petersburg, Russia), Russian Museum (St. Petersburg, Russia), Museum of Moscow (Moscow, Russia), Chelsea Art Museum (New York, USA), Kunstquartier Bethanien (Berlin, Germany), Sky Gallery 2 (Tokyo, Japan). The artists participated in the Manifesta 10 Biennale Parallel Program (St. Petersburg, Russia, 2014) and several exhibitions parallel to Venice Biennale (Italy, 2011, 2013, 2015, 2017).

CC Gromov was conceived as a multi-purpose venue for concerts, exhibitions, theater productions, seminars, round-table discussions, meet-the-artist sessions, business meetings and other events. The two-level exhibition space, the stage and auditorium with a seating capacity of 150 are suitable for any kind of chamber events.
