CYLAND Takes Part in Museum Night 2019 in St. Petersburg

May 18, the North-Western Branch of the National Center for Contemporary Arts – ROSIZO presents the Nooscope project at Museum Night in Kronstadt. Supported by CYLAND MediaArtLab and curated by Mikhail A. Krest, the project is an audio-visual installation developed by Mikhail A. Krest, Daria Pravda and CYLAND artists Sergey Komarov and Alexey Grachev.

Nooscope is series of concepts and methods designed to study collective human thoughts, that allows register changes in biosphere and noosphere. For the artists, however, this is not about a material object, but rather the very way of perceiving information and thinking. Metaphorically representing the process of thinking as an apparatus, the artists consider its structure and reflect on how the parameters of the perceptual apparatus can influence the final understanding of the perceived information.
