CYLAND Takes Part in the State Hermitage Discussions

On June 10, 2016 CYLAND MediaArtLab participated at the night event organized by the State Hermitage in St. Petersburg. The intellectual marathon “Realisms” featured CYLAND’s live performance by Daniil Frants and Ivan Govorkov, and panel discussions with MediaArtLab’s artists and curators Govorkov, Victoria Ilyushkina, Vitaly Pushnitsky, Dmitry Ozerkov, Dmitry Pilikin, Alexandra Dementieva, Alena Tereshko, Alexander Letsius, Maxim Svishev, and many others.

The starting point for the marathon has been the “Realism” exhibition of contemporary art, on display at the General Staff Building since June 7. As contemporary artists from different countries are increasingly turning to realism at the beginning of the XXI century, the method again gaining its momentum in art practices.  CYLAND multimedia installations and views on the state and promises of virtual, augmented, and mixed realities will be discussed during the night.
