On My Way exhibition project featuring installation and performance by CYLAND MediaArtLab artists opened on September 1 at the Youth Center of the State Hermitage in St. Petersburg.
On the opening night CYLAND artist Ivan Govorkov and engineer Alexey Grachev presented live drawing Patterns of the Mind, a dialog between Ivan Govorkov and Daniil Frants that turns to be quite pressing for current art practices, as it raises the question of to what extent is it possible to integrate technologies into the traditional art. Drawn live by Ivan Govorkov in the exhibition space, viewers experience the composition alongside the artist as it comes from hand in 2D and is translated into 3D by accomplished programmer Daniil Frants.
The visitiors had also chance to experience multimedia installation Eclipse by Ivan Govorkov and Elena Gubanova, first featured at the 8th CYBERFEST in Berlin.
