Myriam Thyes is a new media artist from Switzerland and Luxembourg, living in Germany.

Leyla Rodriguez enrolled at HAW University Hamburg. Her interventions in the public space through temporary textile installations, objects and videos have been exhibited in numerous galleries and shown at film festivals worldwide. She was born in Buenos Aires and currently lives and works in Hamburg, Germany. Born in Leningrad, USSR. Graduated from the Architectural College in Leningrad. Being a professional artist, photographer, Terebenin also creates art objects and installations. He is a participant of over 70 exhibitions in Russia and around the world. His works are presented in the collections of the Museum of City History (St. Petersburg, Russia), Kolod-zei Art Foundation (New York, USA), as well as in the galleries and private collections in Russia, USA, Israel, Germany, Finland and many others. He is a curator of the number of art projects, including The Conversion (St. Petersburg, Russia, 2012) and The Signal (St. Petersburg, Russia, 2014). He was nominated for the first and most important award for contemporary visual art in Russia “INNOVATION Prize” for the best curatorial project of 2014 (in collaboration with P. Belyi). “Three String Quartets For One Video” as the joint project PROVMYZA art group with composers (A. Nadzharov, G.Dorohov and A.Shmurak) was a Grand Prix winner of the Kuryokhin Contemporary Art Awards. Galina Myznikova and Sergey Provorov as authors of idea and stage directors of opera “Marevo” was Winner of INNOVATION Prize 2012 in nomination “Visial art” of the 8th All-Russian Competition in Contemporary Visual Art.

Born in 1985 in Leningrad. Education: Hertsen Russian State Pedagogical University, Rodchenko Moscow School of Polina Kanis was born in 1985 in Leningrad, where she studied at the Herzen State Pedagogical University before continuing her studies in Moscow at the Rodchenko Art School of Photography and Multimedia. In 2011, she was a Kandinsky Prize winner in the “Young Artist” category and in 2016 she won the Sergey Kuryokhin Award for Contemporary Art in the  “Best Media Object” category. Kanis has also won and been short-listed for various prizes in the Innovation awards for contemporary art. Solo exhibitions of Kanis’ art have been held at the 5th Moscow International Biennale for Young Art (2016), Manifesta 10 in St. Petersburg (2014), and also in Baku, St. Petersburg, Turin, Kiev and other cities. She is a regular participant in Russian and international exhibitions. Kanis’ works have been acquired by the Kadist Art Foundation (Paris), the National Center for Contemporary Art (Moscow), the Museum of Modern Art (Warsaw), the Aksenov Family Foundation (Moscow), Stella Art Foundation (Moscow), the Vladimir Smirnov and Konstantin Sorokin Foundation (Moscow), Videoinsight Foundation (Bologna) and by private collectors.

Kate McMillan’s work incorporates a range of media including sculpture, film, sound, installation and photography. McMillan is interested in the linking narratives of forgetting and place, often focusing on the residue of the past. Her artworks thus act as haunting memory-triggers for histories and ideas that are over-looked. Her most recent work at Castor Projects in London in April 2016 was titled Songs for Dancing, Songs for Dying and mapped the relationship between inherited body memory and landscape, incorporating film, sculpture and photographs.

She is currently working towards a major project with ‘Momentum: Global Platform for Time Based Art’ for early 2017. The work entitled The Ghosts of Material Things engages with ideas of involuntary memory and uses the Gordon Medical Pathology Museum in London, King’s College, the Musee Marcel Proust in Illiers-Combray, the Musee Carnavalet in Paris and Berlin’s Charite Medical History Museum to navigate the fictional lives of a family who come back from the past and attempt to repatriate objects and body parts from these museums. The work engages with ideas of migration, lost memory and historical trauma.

In July 2016 she has been invited to undertake a residency in St Petersburg as part of the National Centre for Contemporary Art (NCCA) where she will develop new works.

In April 2016 McMillan took part in Acentered: Reterritorised Network of European and Chinese Moving Image during Art Basel Hong Kong, presented by the Art Basel Crowdfunding Initiative, Acentered was part of the Crowdfunding Lab and curated by Videotage. In June 2015 McMillan was included in StructuralObject HouseProject27 curated by Linda Persson at a site in Greenwich, London, alongside other artists such as Bridget Currie and Laure Provoust. In April 2015 McMillan presented an exhibition of small sculptures and experimental films at Moana Project Space in Perth, Australia entitled Anxious Objects. In November 2014 she presented a project three years in development with Performance Space in Sydney that was presented at Carriageworks entitled The Moment of Disappearance curated by Bec Dean. The five channel film and installation included a new sound work composed by Cat Hope and recorded with the London Improvisers Orchestra.

Previous solo exhibitions include The Potter’s Field, 2014, ACME Project Space, London; In the shadow of the past, this world knots tight, 2013 Venn Gallery; Paradise Falls, 2012, Venn Gallery; Lost at the John Curtin Gallery in 2008, Broken Ground in 2006 at Margaret Moore Contemporary Art and Disaster Narratives at the Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts for the 2004 Perth International Arts Festival. She has been included in various group exhibitions over the last few years including the 2010 Biennale of Sydney, the Trafco Centre for Contemporary Art, Poland, Minsheng Art Museum, Shanghai, Art Gallery of Western Australia, Gertrude Street Contemporary Art in Melbourne, Govett Brewster Art Gallery in New Zealand, Doit curated by Hans Ulrich Obrist & Sophie O’Brien as well as the Australian Centre for Photography in Sydney.

Since 2002 she has undertaken residencies in London, Tokyo, Switzerland, Berlin, Sydney, China and Hong Kong. McMillan has been the recipient of numerous grants including more recently a 2011 New Work Grant from the Australia Council, which she also received in 2009. In 2013 she was awarded a Fellowship from the Department of Culture and the Arts (WA) and a Mid-Career Fellowship in 2008. She has resided on the Board of the Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts (PICA), National Association for the Visual Arts (NAVA) based in Sydney and has worked as a Peer and an Advisor for the Australia Council for the Arts. Her PhD (2014) explored the capacity for Contemporary Art to unforget history. McMillan is a part-time Teaching Fellow at King’s College, London where she lectures on the Masters Program in the Department for Culture, Media and Creative Industries. She is also an External Examiner for Brighton University, UK. McMillan has taught at Open University via Curtin University, Australia; Coventry University and the University of Creative Art, Farnham.

Shreepad Joglekar is a lens based artist from Mumbai, India. He holds a BFA from Sir J.J. institute of Applied Art in Mumbai, India, and an MFA from Texas Tech University.

Joglekar has been awarded artist residencies at National Center for Contemporary Art, Kronstadt, St. Petersburg, Russia; Weir Farm National Historic Site in Branchville, CT; the Millay Colony for the Arts in Austerlitz, NY; and A.I.R. Studio in Paducah, KY.

His recent exhibitions include Non Places of Intelligence at Portico Library Gallery, Manchester, UK, and Rural America, at Piramal Gallery, National Center for the Performing Art, Mumbai, India. His work is held in the permanent collections of Center for Photography as an Art Form (NCPA), Mumbai, India, The Center for Fine Art Photography, Fort Collins, CO, Harper College Educational Foundation Art Collection, Palatine, IL, and Chashama Nonprofit Group, NY, NY.

His work has also been shown in several galleries in the US, Canada, China, Cuba, Egypt, Germany, India, Poland, and the United Kingdom. He has presented at interdisciplinary conferences in the US, France, and the United Kingdom. Exploring natural, constructed, and intellectual spaces has been a dominant theme in his work.

Graduated from the Krasnoyarsk Surikov art school. In 2014 graduated from St. Petersburg Institute of Law, specialty legal philosophy. Currently studies in the lab of new media on the New Stage of the Alexandrinsky Theatre. In 2016 involved as video artist in the “Terkin” performance at the New Stage of the Alexandrinsky Theatre.

Since 2012 co-founded TUNDRA collective. One of the first works by TUNDRA (“The Void”) was shown at the very prestigious 10th International Media Festival “Mapping Festival” (Geneva, Switzerland, 2014). The video of this project was included in the ArtFutura Festival (Spain, 2014) program.

TUNDRA presented large scale sound and light kinetic sculptures at HPL festival at the Museum of Street art and at the First Cadet Corps (St. Petersburg), MIRA festival 2016 (Berlin), D-Museum (Seoul), M’ARS gallery (Moscow), and others.

St. Petersburg based collaborative artistic collective, focused on creating spaces and experiences by exploring facets of interaction between audio and visual images with human emotions.

TUNDRA specializse in multi-media performances and interactive audio-visual installations. Their multidisciplinary team involves musicians, sound engineers, programmers and visual artists. The team is known for works presented at festivals of multi-media art in Russia, Asia and Europe. Most of TUNDRA works has been premiered, reviewed and highly acclaimed by high profile media like the Creators Project, FastCoDesign, Creative Applications, LSN and many others high profile media.

One of the first works by TUNDRA collective (“The Void”) was shown at prestigious 10th International Media Festival Mapping Festival (Geneva, Switzerland, 2014). The video of this project was included in the ArtFutura Festival (Spain, 2014) program.

During 2014/15 years, TUNDRA presented their first large-scale sound and light kinetic sculptures HALO and HYPERJUMP at HPL Festival (Museum of Street Art) and at the First Cadet Corps (St.Petersburg), Mira Festival (Berlin). Which led to massive collaboration with Moscow based SILA SVETA team on EPICENTER project at ARMA17 (Moscow, 2015)

TUNDRA’s permanent installations have been presented at Center MARS (Moscow), Etagi Art Center (Saint-Petersburg) and D-Museum (Seoul)

Andrey Rudyev  graduated from the Mukhina Leningrad Higher School of Art and Industry, taught at the department of monumental and decorative painting of the St. Petersburg State Academy of Art and Design, worked as an artist at the Lenfilm studio, took part in many exhibitions. Everyone remembers his penguins that ran from the Arctic and Antarctic Museum around St. Petersburg , Antarctic Mission, the Pro Arte Institute festival and the series of monumental panels on special material (ruberoid).

Andrey Rudyev says that his first creative practices were directed at realistically portraying objects. He was fanatically devoted to realistic painting. However, as soon as he mastered his artistic skills, his views changed. In his individual preferences, he moved on from the Russian academic artists to the German classic artists of the twentieth century such as Joseph Beuys and Anselm Kiefer, and the contemporaries, Jonathan Meese and Daniel Richter.
