April 4, 2017 CYLAND MediaArtLab presented a seminar with Masha Danzis at TAIGA Creative Space in St. Petersburg. Entitled “The educational system of the European Higher School of Modern Art”, the seminar reflects on the 300 years of art history in Europe. The theoretical part of the seminar covered several significant European art institutions (UdK Berlin, KhK Kassel, Akademie der bildenden Künste Wien), while the discussion part raised the question “Is university necessary for an artist?”. Modern strategies of self-education and promotion were covered during the seminar.
