December 13th, CYLAND MediaArtLab artist Sergey Teterin takes part in the TRAINED MACHINES exhibition at the Electromuseum in Moscow. The international exhibition is dedicated to various cultural, social and aesthetic aspects of the AI implementation in science, culture, and society. The exhibition features projects by artists and developers alike: projects that use AI algorithms exploring in social and cultural contexts.
At the exhibition, Sergey Teterin presents WARHOLBOT, his artwork from 2006. Andy Warhol’s artificial double was programmatically based and trained on the artist’s autobiographical book, The Philosophy of Andy Warhol (From A to B and Back Again). During 2006 and 2007, WARHOLBOT used to communicate with subscribers via SMS, conducting dialogues in unpredictably original yet recognizable artist’s style.
