The Golden Bough
Video art, MPEG movie, 00:02:57
The work has the same name as James George Frazer’s opus –The Golden Bough. The main character is the equestrian statue that can be found in the South-East corner of the Central Park in New York. The work has only a small allusion to the bough itself. It is a tail painted golden. It gradually becomes clear that this is a horse skipping in snowstorm. The combination of yellow gold and white snow is the esthetic component of the video.
