Maxim Svishev was born in 1982 in Leningrad. Lives and works in St. Petersburg, Russia. Graduated Artistic and Professional Lyceum of St. Petersburg with a specialization of a jeweler in 2000 and Faculty of Fine Arts at the Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia, St. Petersburg in 2005. The winner of a special prize “New Generation” from the Embassy of France in the VI All-Russian competition in the field of modern visual art; “Innovation” prize for the video installation “Lounge”, Garage Center for Contemporary Culture, Moscow 2011; Sergey Kuryokhin prize in the nomination “The best work of visual art”, Kuryokhin center, St. Petersburg, 2011. Nominated for the Russian national competition “Innovation” in 2011. His works are exhibited at Anna Nova Gallery, Saint Petersburg, “M’ARS” Centre, Moscow.
