Video Art Exhibition Created by CYLAND Opened in St. Petersburg

The Lost Fragments, CYLAND MediaArtLab video exhibition curated by Victoria Ilyushkina, opened on May 23, 2015 at the White Hall of the Taiga Space in St. Petersburg. The exhibition features video works created by Victoria Iluyshkina in collaboration with choreographer Maya Popova. The works from artists’ portfolio exist between the boundaries of dance, performance and video art. The duo has presented their work internationally and recently has been featured in ON MY WAY exhibition at the Cultural Zone of the Venetian University Ca’ Foscari in parallel to the 56th International Art Exhibition in Venice, Italy.

The opening night featured The Art of Disappearance, live performance by Maya Popova, where the artist reflected on emotions of frailty, vulnerability and loss. The exhibition colliding the real and illusory promises to be a challenge for both the visitor and the performer.

The Lost Fragments was on display until June 4, 2015 at the White Hall of the Taiga Space (per. Moshkova, d. 2) in St. Petersburg.
