Does art have anything to contribute to the post-truth, post-democracy world? Is it the time for us to start producing noise, politicizing aesthetic practices or just turn full-time towards political activism? In the era of post-truth politics, alternative facts and fake news campaigns undermining our democracies, we would like to invite experimental film makers and video artists to take a stand in the overwhelming ethical ambiguity of our time.
The international jury 2017 Miroslaw Balka, Lisa Bensel, Nadja Verena Marcin and Viktoria Ilyushkina will award the Golden Pyramid Video Art Prize 2017. Throughout the festival’s duration July 20-23, 2017 international audience will be able to access the entire public program of the 2nd International Transmission Art Festival on festival’s webpage and select the winner of Transmission Audience Award 2017. Furthermore, performances and additional events will be presented at festival’s venues.
